Case Study: Sky Studios Elstree – High‑performance network for media production
Sky Studios Elstree is a state‑of‑the‑art film and television production complex located in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Spanning 27 acres, the site offers approximately 54,000 m² of production space across multiple studio buildings, production support facilities, a central administration building and a multi‑storey car park with 1,000 spaces.

For the next phase of the network installation, OS2 fibre and large bundles of Cat6A cabling were deployed across the entire campus.
The project involved connecting six main distribution rooms, more than 20 floor distributors, and over 70 wall‑mounted cabinets throughout studios and production areas.
Completion: August 2023.
Thanks to close collaboration between Sky, Kinetic IT and HellermannTyton – and the trust placed in our solutions – the network infrastructure was largely implemented using RapidNet and Cat6A connectivity products from HellermannTyton.
