We have further optimised our load safety concept for the transport of duct drums. We rely on two systems that are certified by TÜV Süd:
If several bundle drums are loaded along the direction of travel, each row is secured by a robust wooden fixing frame. Individual reels and reels loaded crosswise are also secured by wooden securing frame.
In addition, anti-slip mats are fitted under each wooden fixing frame to prevent the load from slipping. The length of the safety frame and therefore the minimum width for the internal dimensions of the forklift forks is 83 cm for this variant.
With the alternative securing method, the outer coil flanges of each row are secured with two wedge securing devices and stabilised with connecting boards that are fastened with nails.
A single or possibly cross-loaded coil is also secured with four wedge securing devices and connecting boards.
In addition, anti-slip mats are fitted under each wedge lock to prevent the load from slipping.
The following applies to both securing variants:
All SRV drums are additionally tensioned and secured with two tension belts, as shown in the picture on the right. VDI guideline 2700 is binding for the securing of our pipe bracing reels. Otherwise, the agreed Incoterms 2020 apply.
